Recently, SM Entertainment officially announced RIIZE Seunghan‘s return to group activities.
He also posted a handwritten message on Weverse, expressing his gratitude towards the members, fans, and the company.
“Hello, this is Seunghan. First, I sincerely apologize to the members and fans. When the photos of me from before my debut were revealed, although that was me, I was disappointed and regretted towards myself. If that was how I felt, I can’t even fathom how the members and fans would have felt. You all must have felt angry, shocked, and disappointed.
I apologize to the fans who have supported me from the most important moment, which was the start of our career, and for hurting those due to my childish actions.
I also apologize to the members who had to keep on pushing without me. Because of all this, I had to take a break from activities, and I want to apologize to everyone who had to endure overcoming the situation.
I am sorry for the situation, and I was despairing that I could not be with everyone at that time.
With the disappointment I caused, I wondered if I could ever be able to get up again and make music. I started thinking more realistically.
During that time, the members reached out to me. It must have been such a difficult decision for them, but I am thankful for the opportunity they gave me, and I am truly sorry.
To the members who reached out to me again and the fans who might be worried that the achievements would be ruined— I know that I need to prove and live up to the expectations of everyone, including the company that made the difficult decision for my return.
I feel the pressure, and there is fear, too. However, I will work even harder because I know the amount of support I have received.
I will work hard and ensure I will not hinder the progress and achievements the members have made thus far. I want to become an indispensable part of the group, RIIZE. Once again, I apologize to the members, the company staff, and fans. I promise to work harder and continue promotions with a greater sense of responsibility.”
