It did not go as expected.
NMIXX‘s Haewon graced the latest episode of YouTube channel 117‘s “Dex’s Fridge Interview” series, in which Dex tried to impress her with a sleek outfit but “failed.”
At the beginning of the episode, Dex explained that he spent hours putting the outfit together because he heard that Haewon’s “ideal type” is Levi Ackerman, a fictional character from Attack on Titan, and he wanted her to make good memories on the show.
Let me show you my outfit today. It’s been a while since I wore tight pants like these. Today’s guest likes a character named Levi Ackerman in an anime called ‘Attack on Titan.’ So my stylist and I took three hours yesterday to create this outfit. Levi draws swords like this. So we added all these little details, they’re all handmade. Anyway, I hope today’s guest makes a lot of good memories here.

When Haewon sees Dex, though, she becomes “intimidated,” not only because of his harnessed look…
Haewon: His outfit is a bit intimidating…
Dex: Really?
Haewon: Yeah, for the past few episodes, you wore casual outfits… like sweats. Didn’t you? I watched all of them.
Dex: Right. I tried something different today.
Haewon: I’m surprised.
Dex: You are?
Haewon: Why are you dressed like that, anyway? I’ve been wanting to ask you.
Dex: I’m wearing this outfit because I was told that you like Levi. That’s why I’m wearing these tight pants. I’m trying to entertain you.
Haewon: Oh… Where’s the cape?
Dex: I was going to wear it too, but I didn’t want to scare you. Anyway, that’s the theme. I’m dressed like Levi.
…but also because Levi Ackerman wasn’t actually Haewon’s ideal type.
Dex: So why do you like Levi so much?
Haewon: Um…
Dex: What? What is it? Where are you looking? Please look at me.
Haewon:. …I’m so sorry.
Dex: What are you sorry for? You don’t like Levi?
Haewon: I’m sorry!
Dex: Oh, my…
Haewon: I was watching that anime back then. And Levi was pretty much the only character that was closest to being attractive in that anime. That’s why I picked that character. My fans would have felt offended if I had said a real person’s name. I’m so sorry!
After all was said and done, Dex playfully apologized for intimidating Haewon!
I swear I chose this outfit to entertain you, not intimidate you! I guess that totally backfired, though.
